I am typing a paper in MSWord, and wish to know how much of a page, or space left on a page I have. Is there an accessible way to determine this? I'm using Jaws 5.1, a laptop, and word XP. Thanks!

Hi Catie,
If you hit alt-delete (hold alt key down and press delete key) you will determine your cursor position. That tells you how far down the page you are. I believe this command works in all versions of word. For those using prior versions of jaws. alt-delete is a windows command, so it will work no matter what version of jaws is being used.
Oh, the delete key is just to the left of the end key.

Well, I am not sure how many inches are on a page. however, if your paper is double-spaced (that is how I have to do papers at the college I attend), you just take the total number of inches and divide it in half since there is half the amount of space on the page with double space enabled. At least I think that is what happens with double space. other zoners can correct me if I'm wrong.
just a thought.
